Meghan Trainor kicked off the 2017 Grammys Tuesday by revealing the nominees in four general field categories: Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Fifteen minutes after Trainor’s appearance on CBS This Morning, the Recording Academy will announce nominees across all 84 categories in a press release and on the Grammy’s website.
The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, on CBS.
The Late Late Show’s James Corden will host the annual event from inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles. “It’s the biggest, most prestigious award show in music,” Corden, 38, told E! News in a statement in November, “and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.”

Nelson Mandela once said: “A critical, independent, and investigative press is the lifeblood of any democracy. The press must be free from state interference. It must have the economic strength to stand up to the blandishments of government officials. It must have sufficient independence from vested interests to be bold and inquiring without fear or favor. It must enjoy the protection of the constitution, so that it can protect our rights as citizens.”
