She was a married 40-year-old drama teacher when she met the then 15-year-old Emmanuel Macron while directing a school play.
Now Brigitte Trogneux will continue to coach her husband, but on a much bigger stage – as France’s First Lady at the Elysee presidential palace.
Newly-electedFrench President Macron‘s wife, now 64, has been constantly by his side during his campaign, managing his agenda, editing his speeches and advising him on his stage presence.
In his victory speech made outside the Louvre Museum, Macron thanked his family and those close to him as the crowd was cheering “Brigitte!”
