Do you have a sick relative or a needy child who need help but you do not know what to do? Then worry no more.
Two young men have taken tech innovation in Kenya to another level by establishing an online platform-M-Changa to raise money for different causes.
M-Changa is the brainchild of Kyai Mullei, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and David Mark, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The founders say M-Changa https://secure.changa.co.ke/ is an online and mobile fundraising platform that provides the tools to create awareness and receive funds for your fundraiser-for individuals, organisations and businesses.
The platform is used to raise funds for such causes as medical bills for the sick, school fees for needy students, weddings, funerals community needs like farming, businesses and causes that are prevalent among Kenyans.
Those who want to contribute can do so through financial institutions like Safaricom’s Mpesa, Equity Bank’s Equitel, Airtel’s Money, Paypal, Visa cards and SimbaPay among others.
Contributors to a cause can track their contributions, how much money has been raised and whether they have met their target or not online.
Currently the platform is raising money for Faiza Mohamed Dahir, who is suffering from a rare disease known as lupus. https://secure.changa.co.ke/myweb/share/18842

Nelson Mandela once said: “A critical, independent, and investigative press is the lifeblood of any democracy. The press must be free from state interference. It must have the economic strength to stand up to the blandishments of government officials. It must have sufficient independence from vested interests to be bold and inquiring without fear or favor. It must enjoy the protection of the constitution, so that it can protect our rights as citizens.”
