The media accreditation for UN Climate Conference COP 28 that opened on 31 July 2023 is set to be closed on October 11 at 23:59 CEST, UN Climate has announced.
“We are now close to reaching the maximum number of media badges, taking into account other participants and the physical safety and security considerations of the venue. Thus, we are compelled to close the system as of 11 October 2023,” UN Climate said in a statement.
The UN agency said all applications received up to and including 11 October 2023 will be processed adding that regrettably, they will not be in a position to accept new applications past 11 October 2023.
“Apologies for any inconvenience,” the statement noted.
The press release added that online registration is the only official channel for nominating participants for this conference noting that the secretariat is not in a position to receive applications sent by any other method, e.g. e-mail, fax or letter.
“Further information on media accreditation and a list of our frequently asked questions (FAQs) is available online. For technical support please submit a completed ORS Support Form,” they added.
