Two sisters from Murang’a County have shocked area residents after they started exhibiting snake-like behavior.
The two are believed to be suffering from a witchcraft spell as their mother claims she is usually taken to a local cemetery by the spirits.
Now close family members are seeking services of the clergy to help exorcise the evil spell that is tormenting the two sisters and their mother.
Grace Wanjiru and Malka Mburu are alleged to have been exhibiting snake-like tendencies like hissing and puffing for the last four months.
“The sisters display uncontrolled bodily movements, jerking, jumping and throwing themselves on the ground with their eyes rolled into the back of their heads,” eyewitnesses claimed.
The Star reported that their mother, Wanjiru said she has also been sick with unexplained sickness and demonic attacks.
“I also get some funny feelings of spirits are invading my systems. They take me to some cemetery, but whenever I pray, they bring me back to my real self though this is usually a severe battle with them,” she told the Star newspaper.
One of the girls claims that in their previous home in Kenol sub-county, she got visions of a ‘very big snake’ keeping vigil in their homestead.
The family is now appealing to well-wishers and spiritual leaders to pray for divine intervention.
The incident is similar to another in the same Murang’a County when a young man shocked area residents after he started behaving like a snake by hissing and slithering.
James Kahara reportedly killed a cobra on the road before he started exhibiting the strange behaviours’.
