Kenyans are still coming to terms with reports that three brothers in Muranga County have gang-raped their seven year-old sister to near death.
The beastly and devilish incident that has left an entire nation in shock and awe involves three brothers from Kiharu constituency aged 13, 17 and 20 years who have been defiling their sister aged 7 years.
The trio is to be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
Whether Muranga is turning into the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah is not clear, but cases of sexual abuse against children have continued to rise in the county shocking area residents and Kenyans at large
In the same county, a 10-year-old boy who is also a standard five pupil from Gikomora village in Maragua was sexually assaulted by a cousin to his father.
Another sexual abuse case has also been reported at Igikiro village still in Maragua where a 15-year-old boy was diagnosed with HIV/Aids after he was assaulted sexually.
Whether God is going to pass his punishment on the sinners of Muranga is yet to be known and only time will tell.

But it has to be remembered that in both the Koran and the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah were cities adversely mentioned in the Book of Genesis, the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament and as well as the Quran and the Hadith.
The two cities which were situated on the Jordan River plain in the southern region of the land of Canaan became synonymous with impenitent sin, and they fell with a proverbial manifestation of divine retribution.
The Jordan River plain corresponds to the area just north of the modern-day Dead Sea, according to online encyclopedia Wikipedia.
A couple from Gikui village in Iyego, Kangema has also been left heart broken after their 3-year-old daughter was defiled by an unknown assailant.
The child was taken to hospital on Thursday, September 23 by the sad but irate parents who are yet to identify the perpetrator.
Just three months after a teacher in Murang’a was jailed for 90 years for sexually assaulting 10 pupils, several savage and saddening sexual abuse acts continue to happen in the county leaving locals wondering what kind of demonic force is behind the acts.

Nelson Mandela once said: “A critical, independent, and investigative press is the lifeblood of any democracy. The press must be free from state interference. It must have the economic strength to stand up to the blandishments of government officials. It must have sufficient independence from vested interests to be bold and inquiring without fear or favor. It must enjoy the protection of the constitution, so that it can protect our rights as citizens.”
